Finishing off Novemember

Here are some random pictures from November...

This is a perfect example of the two boys...Gavin sitting nicely, quitley looking at pictures and Ayden squirming and wigglying around never sitting still for more than a few minutes!

Ayden definitely does have his moments though

Upon waking up, Gavin ALWAYS needs his moment to realize he's awake

The boys with their dad getting ready for bed

My sweet busy little Ayden

We got these foam swords that they love!! My kids can definitely beat up your kids...j/k!

And finally the cute little nativity set that the boys got for the start of the Christmas Season from Grandma Smith.....

It did not stay this neat for long!! Maybe in the next few years it will be able to sit out, ok maybe more than a few years!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!! (better late than never!)

This was the second Thanksgiving that I made my very own Turkey, last year we cut up the Turkey before we took a picture, so this year I made sure we got a picture of my Turkey. I really enjoy cooking so it is a lot of fun for me to make this dinner!! This year we had Jordan's twin brother Travis and his family over for dinner. Kassie helped make our wonderful dinner and made some yummy pies for us as well! We really had a great day spending time with them and had some yummy food!!

The boys also had a chance to try the Simmons family famous Egg Nog. Seriously if you don't like Egg Nog, you'll like this, it has never failed. I have not yet met a person who does not like this! The boys really liked it!

This Donald Duck cup has a picture of Donald Duck on the other side of it. I had it facing Gavin and I thought I heard him say "Duck" but I thought no, because I didn't think there was a picture, and obviously he can't read. I looked and what do you know the picture was there and gave said his first word..."Duck"!

Hair Time!!

When ever we need to redred the boys hair or comb it out it is a big ordeal!! So we try and brib their tears away with junk!! Unfortunately it doesn't work as well as we hope it would. Gavin does pretty well, but Ayden HATES his hair being touch if he knows it is more than touching, such as applying product, or combing it. Here are some pictures of the boys getting their hair done.

Then on Nov. 26 we decided it was finally time to cut Gavin's hair. He had so many bald spots still and his dreads were growing way faster than his bald spots were catching up. We gave him a sucker to help him through it, and it was obvious he didn't know what was coming until it was to late..he was not happy....

This is my favorite picture, Ayden is wondering if he is next and I am sure by the look on his face he is frightened!!

Snow Days

There has been quit a bit of snow here in Michigan this year. It would be great if they only had some mountains to go along with it!!! The first big snowfall was in November and we let the boys go out and see how they liked it. They looked so cute in their little puffy snow outfits; snug as a bug!!

And then we had a lot more in December!!! We had our first blizzard with a TON of snow! So while Jordan shoveled we took the boys out to give it another try. They loved it!! They kept sticking their tongues out to try and catch it and the cutest thing was they were following Jordan where ever he shoveled. He'd take a scoop and a step and 4 little feet followed right behind him. They started getting adventurous and Ayden would make this funny noise and hit all the snow with his little hand (in a glove of course). And Ayden was trying to take steps into the the tall snow that had not yet been shoveled.

These First three pics are my favorite, they're smiles just glow!

Everywhere Daddy went they went too!

Ayden trying to taste the snow and Gavin hitting the snow

Ayden being adventurous

The boys love it when Jordan throws them in the air, it was pretty funny watching how stick straigh they were in their snow suits.

Detroit Science Center

I know this is late, but I need to get November and December done so I can order a book of my blog of last year (for journal purposes) so I have to go in order, starting in Novemeber!!

November was full of amazing excitement!! Ok, maybe not, but there were some great memories to take note of, this is the first one. We became members to the Detroit Science Center which has turned out to be a lot of fun. There is an entire little area for kids under 4. They have different rooms one full of balls, another that is a full little kid kitchen with pans and food, menus, and a register full of money! There is also an art room with aprons they can put on to protect there clothes and an assortment of art material (crayons, glue, paper plates, markers, etc.). Anoter room has different cars for the kids to get in a ride around on and next to it is a room with a stage and a TV on the wall above with a variety of dress up clothes along the side of the stage, there is a room set up like a veterinary office with cages with a few stuffed animals and some play Dr. stuff and a little outfit, and next to that is a room with computers for the kids and a wall of books and one of those fabric boards that felt figures stick to, and the final room is a room with apple trees painted on the walls with magnetic apples to pick and put in buckets along with the room filled with soft things to climb all over. And finally in the center of it all is a fountain with 3 circular shapes connected that is filled with water (of course) and they have little gowns for the kids to put on so they can play with the little toys in the fountain and not get wet. My boys have a lot of fun, especially because it is a new environment other than home!! Here are a few pictures of our trips there so far.

After one of our trips to the Science Center we went out to a Buffet. My favorite place to go know that we have kids...they can be as picky as they want and I am sure to find something they'll eat, with out the mess and hassle to clean up!

The boys had their first ice cream cones, as you can tell they are naturals with holding their cones.....

Ayden feeling the need to run his cone along the place mat

You can tell Travis filled up a little to much at the Buffet, I think his pants are fully loaded here, maybe this will be his last time here?!? =)
