Happy Thanksgiving

This was my first Thanksgiving making the turkey, it was so much fun! I think I love to cook. Jordan said it was the best food he has ever had at a Thanksgiving dinner. I am sure he just said that because he is my husband, but it made me feel good. This was also Ayden and Gavin's first Thanksgiving, they did pretty good. They did alot of relaxing, which was nice. Travis came and joined us along with out friends the Dalton's. At the end of the night we looked at adds for "Black Friday". I went with 2 of the girls from YW. We got in line at 3:45 at best buy, I don't think we did half bad, we got some good deals at the stores we went to. It was the girls first after Thanksgiving shopping adventure.

Our little tacos...I love this picture

Our boys have to have their pillows

I still don't know how it can go from this....

To this in a matter of seconds.

I love the silly faces Ayden makes

Go Wolverines!!!!

Finally after all that went into applying to an MBA program jordan found out on 11/15/07 at midnight that he got in to the University of Michigan, he will begin school in January. He will be going to school and working so he will be in the evening program which will hopefully take him 3 1/2 years.

My friend Tara and I went and bought our husbands "Congratulation gifts" to give them and had a plan that if they didn't get in, we would just return the gifts with out them knowing so they wouldn't feel so bad. It's a good thing they both got in!! I got Jordan a Michigan shirt and hat, and the Boys U of M shirts so they could match their Dad. We are so excited Jordan will finally be finishing up school!

It was a long night for us all....but it's not like we weren't having long nights anyway!

Even Rocky stayed up for the event

The prize winning smile when he found out he got in.

We took pictures of us in our outfits the next day.

The supportive wife...

And kids...

Our pictures started out like this...

And within seconds turned to this...

So Gavin became the shining star to sport their U of M outfits

When we got Ayden to calm down he decided to take one for the team and let us get a picture with him and Dad.

We tried to get a family picture, but it wasn't happening so here is one with Ayden's face showing...

And here is the other one with Gavin's face showing...

Congratulations Baby!! We love you!

We finally made our blog

Ok so is took me awhile to set it up, but now that I finally did it I can keep up. For those of my friends who don't know, Jordan and I adopted twins!! They are so much fun and we love them so much! They are almost two months and we got them right out of the hospital here in Detroit. We are still waiting on the process to be partially finalized, which woul dbe the relinquisment of the birth mothers rights. It's a scary time because she still has rights, kind of, to the babies. Once her rights have been relinquised then we wait 6 months by law, so social workers can stop by and make there visits to say we are fit parents, and then we can have them sealed and blessed to us. We are still deciding on where we will go for the blessing and sealing, if it will be Utah or Idaho. but it will definitly be one of the two.

The boys are growing so fast. When they were born Ayden was 5 lbs 2 oz and Gavin was 5 lbs 6 oz. At there month visit Ayden was 7 lbs 4 oz andGavin was 7 lbs 6 oz. Ayden is catching up! They both gave us scares and had to see the cardiologist. With Ayden we were in the ER room from 7:30 at night until 9:00 the following night. All is well though and so far they are healthy boys!

My mother-in -law came and stayed for a week and my mom stayed the following week. In between my sister came for an extended weekend with my mom and theough a shower. It was great to have family here to meet the boys and for some help as well.

We had alot of fun on Halloween, Gavin was a pumpkin and Ayden was a spider. We got them together with their cousins, Ellie and Haven, it was so funny. Ayden starting crying and Ellie would pat him on the side and say "It's ok" and have a big smile on her face, she is such a good helper with them. She always loves to help feed them and pats them on the head. Haven coos as she watches them and is learning to be "so very soft". They are so fun to watch. We have had alot of fun with Travis and Kassie living close by.

Kassie came over the other day and I did her hair and in return she was going to watch the boys while Jordan colored my hair. Jordan wanted to play Xbox and volunteered to watch the boys at the same time while I taught Kassie to do my hair, ya right, but I thought I would let him prove him self. Well, he is teaching to boys bad habits beacuse they were mesmerized, it was funny.

We are very excited about this new transition in our lives, we have been waiting a long time. We know the Lord has a hand in all things and brought these boys into our home. It is amazing to look back and see all the steps that were taken to get where we are today and we know that the Lord has been guiding us in each and every step we have taken, wether it be big or small.

At some point, the sleep has to kick in...
