I wish they played like this all the time!!!

Great Grandma Jensen's house! Our kids really love going over there.  Our kids LOVE all toys that aren't their own and Grandma sure has some fun ones.  She also has the perfect swing set for my kids that they really enjoy! It makes it easy when there are things to keep them outside so we don't have to worry about any broken items! She does great with them and they love her!

She told us she bought this car when Jordan and Travis (Jordan's twin brother) were little!

Ayden LOVES this!!

Aug. 16th

August 16th is a special day for our family. First it is our Anniversary which is always a great thing to celebrate, but it is also the day we got sealed to Ayden and Gavin in the Salt Lake Temple!! We thought it would be fitting to spend the evening at temple square.  I have loved going there with my kids.  It is the same routine every time, we see huge reflecting pond, then off to the small water fall structures down the way, they run around on the grass, we make our way to the temple.  This time they climbed up on the stairs and played around in all the little cubbies at the top, run around some more then off to see the big Jesus statue, and then we go home.  The kids love it, Ava calls it a princess castle and she is in Heaven when she is seeing all the beautiful "princesses" or in other words - Brides =).  She even went up to one girl and just looked up and gazed at her dress and wanted to hold her hand. What a beautiful and special place this is and how lucky we feel to live by it!

Can't forget this little guy!! He loves being outside and does so well when we are out and about walking around, as long as he is in a sling

The reason why you don't see any pictures of Gavin climbing the stairs is because he was happy and content on Dad's shoulders.  He is a cuddly little boy that soaks in all the affection he can get, we love him!

We then made him get off so Ayden could have a turn...

Boise Trip - Aug. 2011

So this was a BUSY weekend to say the least.  I was hoping to see some friends while I was there and realized real quick I shouldn't even try.  It was our first drive to Boise after moving here from Michigan and it seemed longer than I expected. We got there really late friday night ( like around 1 am), the kids didn't fall asleep in the car until we were almost there and then not anly when we got out did they just want to play because they had been couped up, they were so hard to just get them to go to bed in a new place! I then had to get up early the next morning to run the 5k I ran.  It was put on by my Mom's work and we wanted to support her and run the race.  This was the first time I ran with a jogger and it was way harder than I thought!! I probably should have practiced with the jogger, or I guess I should have practiced running for the race in general!! I love running and races are so much fun, it has motivated me to want to get ready for more races....hopefully that motivation doesn't leave me before I actually have a chance to do it! It wasn't a huge race and my little brother actually won first place because he was the only one in his age group haha! There was one other Mom pushing a jogger with 2 of her children and they gave us a $20 gift certificate because we are AWESOME =) to a store where I got some comfy flip flops. My sister placed in her age group and my brother-in-law got second in the 10K.  My niece and nephew ran the race as well, it was a fun family event!

Here we are at the starting line

Crossing the finish line

Those of us that ran, and a few little cheerleaders who joined in!

There was a firetruck there for the kids.  Ayden and Gavin had just gone to see one here in Utah and took a ride in it as well thanks to my friend so they were excited to see one again.

We then met up at the Boise Depot for some family pictures.  My brother has a nice camera so we just took that and snapped some pictures for each other

Some Randoms moments

Ha what the photographer I am! My brother-in-laws tried to scowl at the camera, but with my charm got them smiling!! Their pictures remind me of "Good cop, bad cop"

The other Simmons Family (my little bro) didn't get there pictures because his wife had just had a baby and wasn't feeling well, but they came for the big family picture.

That night we had the blessing for my brothers new baby

This was so funny, Easton's cousin and aunt were rubbing his leg and arm and he just froze I am sure he thought if he moved it would end so he was as still as could be and loving it!

A great picture to end on! I am sure I have a picture like this of my brothers from every visit!
