Easton's Birthday

Our traditional Brithday mornings consist of balloons and an assortment of dollar store toys for the kids to play with and get excited about. Kind of like a birthday gift bag if we were having a party. Who's ever Birthday it is gets a little more plus their real presents later in the day. I know a little boring, but it gets my kids excited and knowing we are celebrating someones "Happy Birthday" as they call it.

Easton running around with his horn and beloved balloon!

His new doggy (He is always fighting Ayden and Gavin for theirs, so we got him his own!)

Noise makers , I should have second thought those! =)

His birthday was on a weekday, and i didn't want him to open his presents until Jordan got home from work.  So since it was just me and the kids I wanted to have a few fun things I knew Easton would like. We had a few play- doe things, but we have been out of play doe for awhile! So I got some more so play doe and play doe sets so they all could have fun and there would not be to much fighting over things! They had fun so I was glad I got it all!

A birthday tradition...donuts for breakfast! Easy and good!

I got some bubble wands that came with glasses to make them reflect and look like rainbow colored

Present time

This was his favorite toy, an old school weeble tree house and he hasn't gotten tired of it yet!

All the kids pounced on it after he opened it, I couldn't get them to back off!

Carter hanging out

His gift from my parents, his favortie part about it was the bone wristband remote control

Cake time!
So, This isn't anything fancy, however, I made the Best Frosting Ever!! That is acctually what the girled named it when I found it online, but seriously...BEST FROSTING EVER! It's like the yummy soft frosting on the cookies at  the store...so easy and so yummy!!

First, he started eating with his fork...

But decided his hands were a much better tool...

Ayden continuing the Chandra tradition of showing your food to the camera...

And Easton joining in!

Easton Tunred 2!!!

2 Year Stats:

Weight: 28.66 lbs (58%)
Length: 34.45 in. (58%)
HC: 17 (62%)

Easton is just a sweet kid! For instance, if Ava and him are fighting for a toy, he will fight for it.  But when we let Ava know, he had it first and she needs to stop, but then starts crying instead.  He gives it to her!! Ava and him are so funny to watch. Ava really knows how to get what she wants from him and is such a tease to him, just like Ayden and Gavin are to her. Recently it has been so funny to watch Easton start to pick on her they way she does to him! He will most likely tower over her as they grow, so she had better be careful!

They truely are good friends.  Before they go to bed every night Ava always asks for a hug and a kiss from Easton, and then when we go into kiss her she says "NOO, I already got a kiss from Easton!"
Whenever Easton grabs something for himself he always makes sure to get it for Ava as well. It is sad when she says, "No" so rudely when she doesn't want it, he looks so sad.

He really is a sensitive little kid that loves to play with his siblings! He loves them ALL so much! He gets along with each one of them and can relate to each of them with different things they like to do.

He has definitely hit his terrible 2 stage and  throws his fair share of tantrums, but it is easy to forget when he gives us his big hugs or his sweet little kisses. He is so playful, and even if he is being a little Grump, it isn't hard to get him to laugh.

He is talking so well, Ava is almost 3 and just barely at the point where you can understand her pretty well, and I think Easton is almost caught up to her.  I am sure it has to do with being one of the youngest and picks it up from his older siblings.  He has always worked really hard and done a great job at keeping up with the 3 older siblings.
Ayden and Gavin got these Vtech digital cameras, that are actually pretty cool.  They have 2 games on them and Easton has found that he loves them! It is so hard to get it away from him. It is like watching a 10 year old with their Nintendo DS (or whatever they play these days!). Whenever he gets up in the morning or after his naps he asks where the camera is.  We also got a Kinect this year for our Xbox and it really was a great thing for the kids. Ava and Easton dance away to the dance games and are always asking to play them.  And now whenever we have a show on like the Backyardigans, they get up and dance to it like it is a dance game.

Easton loves playing with the kitchen sets we have downstairs and is always making a feast!  My mom made my kids little chef hats and aprons for Christmas and now he makes sure he is wearing that when making us his fabulous food! He likes to get dominoes, or animals and line them up across the floor or table, and he really enjoys stacking and knocking down blocks!

Ayden and Gavin were by far our messiest children when it came to food being all over the ground after eating.  Easton is by far our messiest child when it comes to getting it ALL over his face, hair, clothes, and anything in between! I swear it doesn't matter what we are doing, by the end of the day he is definitely ready for a bath!

He also has more bumps and bruises than any kid I know..  He is constantly bonking his head or tripping over something in his hurry to get where he is going.

Easton is our little peacemaker in the family and once again like each one of our children,  it is such a blessing to have him in our home!

Carter turned 6 months

6 Month Stats:

Weight: 19.07 lbs (71%)
Length: 26.38 in. (39%)
HC: 17.1 in. (36%)

Since I am just now posting this and Carter will be due for us 9 month milestone pictures, I will start talking about Carter from age 5 1/2 months until now! We started him on solids at 5 1/2 months, we were going to start at 6 months (which I know is only a few weeks early) but he was acting so ready for it I started him a few weeks early.
It is funny how with our first we were so excited to start that stage (so we started at 4 months with the twins) and then the more kids we have the longer we want to push it back! He like bananas and sweet potatoes, applesauce, pears.  Hated green beans, peas, carrots! It lasted maybe a month and then quit eating the baby food all together! He would scarf down the rice, but would cry whenever I tried to feed him the baby food.  So he stuck to rice, I kept trying with the baby food and failed every time! At 7 months, he really seemed to be begging for table food so I started our with letting him gnaw on pizza crust.  A few days later he had some chicken nuggets, and then his favorite ramen noodles! So I have been feeding him rice and then the soft foods I feel comfortable giving him.  He does really well with picking up his food and putting it in his mouth and has all the baby snacks, like cheerios, and those little flavored puffs, ritz crackers, etc.  I don't know what it is with the rice, but he really loves the MUMS rice crackers.
I swear he was teething for like 3 months!! He popped his first tooth at 8 months and half way through the month his other one is on its way!

He started sitting up a little after 6 months and now (at 8 1/2 mo) he can turn himself around sitting on his bum and keeps lunging forward trying to move.  I am really excited for when he starts to crawl and walk, I know a lot of people aren't, but I love it! It makes them a little more independent!

He babbles so cute all day long! And as long as mom is around he is a happy boy! He recently started grabbing on to his feet and moving them all around.

We tried taking him off his acid reflux medicine in Dec.  He is on 2 perscriptions, and what a mistake that was!! He had been nursing better than he ever had before, he was super happy, layed down great! Well, we took him off one perscription first and the fussyness was so gradual, It didn't dawn on me it was the medicine.  So we took him off the second prescription, and a week or two later, a few more Dr.'s visits, and his sudden desire to stop taking a bottle or nursing, and we recognized he needed to get back on.  It has been a month that he has been back on his medicine and he will not nurse and it takes about an hour for him to take a bottle, if he will even take it, and it is much harder to get him down at night!! Lesson learned! The problem is taking him off his medicine is the only way to know whether he needs it or not. I am waiting for that year mark when he doesn't need the bottle!!

As hard as babies can be, we would not have it any other way! His siblings love him and are always coming right up to him never knowing what personal space is and trying to give him toys and talk to him.  They continue to sit behind him and put both arms around him ( like when he couldn't sit up on his own) and holding him tight.  I keep having to remind them he can sit up by himself and he does not like to be pulled back!! He may be a little pestered, but it is purely out of love from all of them! We love him so much and we are so grateful to have our little baby Carter in our family!

Septembers Randomness

I think there was a Gap contest going on and since we think our kids are so dang cute we wanted to enter them in so we could get some free gap clothes! Well, I didn't fully read the requirments and they needed to have a full body shot.  So I entered them in with pictures that were not full body shot and took these to re-enter them and well, I never got to entering them on time...but they would have won, look at these cute faces!!

Our house on a Sunny September day! I'll post some pics of the inside at some point!! We are loving our new house! It is the perfect set up for our family and we are constantly finding project after project (which needs to stop!!). So, this and our kids have been keeping us pretty busy!

Ava learned to ride a bike this month! Something she has been working on all summer!

My mom and sweet baby Carter! My parents have been up to visit quite a bit and we love having them!

The kids painting in the garage while Dad is busy working away on my beloved table!

He finished a bench first, it was our trial and error before we started on the big table! However the errors were few and he did a great job!! The kids loved sitting on it!

They wouldn't sit anywhere else, it's a good thing they all 4 fit on it!

The final product (He did awesome!)

Every day is a Super Hero Day!

Seriously, Ayden makes the funniest faces..love him!

Can't get enough of this cute face!
