The BIG 2....9!!!!!

Jordan had his birthday on Sunday, but he called last weekend his "Birthday Weekend". So even though I wasn't feeling well he wanted me to be at his beck and call!! No I am kidding, he was sad his family was sick and he was very helpful, but still always reminding me about his "Birthday Weekend"! He said he didn't want anything for his birthday this year, but come on, how sad would that be if you had nothing to look forward to. So I did get him a few gifts, but I compromised and even though they weren't the most exciting gifts they were mostly from the heart and affordable which is what Jordan likes! I made him a very Large blanket so he would finally have one that would cover his feet, and a picture frame with out family picture and a few pictures of the boys to put on his desk.

He did ask for three things though, he wanted an ice cream cake and Pan Pan, this chinese take out place that Jordan loves and I hate, so we don't get it to often. And finally he wanted his Grandma's spaghetti and meatball sauce. I know it's sad, but if I dont like something I don't make it, and meatballs aren't my favorite, there are just big globs of ground meat. I know there is a little more to them, but yuck! So with many phone calls I got the recipe and made it for him on his birthday! I have never made meatballs before so I was proud of myself. But it seemed like after the first night when we went to have left overs, the a lot of the meat balls disappeared, I must have done something wrong for them not to stay in tacked as well. Oh well, I learn with every new meal, maybe next time I'll do better. Theboys loved the meal so that was a plus as well!!

Hopefully he had a good day. He has been so busy with work, school, and family I know he feels overwhelmed at times. He is doing such a great job juggling it all and especially do a great job at making time for his family. It us apparent how much he loves us and wants to spend time with us, he is a great husband and tries so hard to help around the house even after a long day of work and school. Eventhough it took a lot of training on my part =) not to stop at the end of the day if things need to be done, he is doing an amazing job. He is so great with the boys. The other day I wanted to run down stairs and get some things done and he said he's watch the kids, they were crying and all of a sudden I heard nothing, and still nothing for quit sometime, I went up stairs to look and Jordan had things all under control. He was "baby proofing" our cupboards with Gavin on his lap and Ayden hanging out next to them (even if he was holding that nasty dust pan, only a man would give a child that =)). This picture does't do him justice, Gavin only started crying once he saw me, but really Gavin was doing great on his lap!

Happy Birthday Jordan!!! We love you!

Sounds like you put a lot of effort into your husbands birthday. Neither Jason or I got anything for our birthdays last year. We needed all of our money to pay for a move. Pretty sad, but oh well. We did have Coldstone ice cream cakes though. That was pretty good.

I know exactly what you mean about not stopping at the end of the day when things need done. It seems like as soon as Richard comes home I have stuff for him to do and I want his help with the boys. Husbands are so great.

Happy Birthday Jordan! Brandon loves spaghetti and meatballs, too! It took me a while to get used to them. Now I just put 1-2 on my plate and cut it up small and mix it into the sauce. I cant eat it whole!
