Our morning routine is pretty much the same, The boys get up on average between 6 and 6:30, lately they feel 5:30 is a better time to get up. They switch, it's never the same, one will get up arounnd 5:30 the other will get up at 7:00 (or I have to wake them up). Being the morning person I am not, I put them in there exer-saucers so they can watch Baby Einstein while I lay down on the couch hoping they will be content, which usually they are for about 5-15 min. I then put some toys on the ground and let them play while I continually go back and forth between the couch and the floor either trying to separate them because Ayden is crying because Gavin has stolen his binki, or the best one, Gavin is on top of Ayden (he has toppled him to the floor) and Gavin has the biggest smile on his face every time, or for the most common one, they just want me on the floor with them. Even more recently they have become so needy, I can't pass by Ayden with out him tossing himself to either catch me as I walk by or lunge as far as he can to get to me while I am sitting by them. He stiffens up and won't bend his legs if I try to sit him on the floor making it apparent he doesn't want me to set him down. Gavin sees this and realizes Ayden is getting all the attention and then lunges himself over to me (even if it is on top of all the toys). So I have them both in my lap, I realized I might as well make myself comfortable, so it has actually been very cute I pick them both up walk to the rocking chair and the last few days Gavin turns to me and gives me a giant bear hug and does not let go, just sits like that, while Ayden turns himself around so he is facing me and holds on tight too while I sing songs to them. They are very wiggly boys and really don't just sit like that, which is one of the things that made it even cuter, it's moments like that which make raising twins feel so much easier.
The boys are growing more and more every day and just when I think my sweet boys can't get any cuter moments later they already are. Gavin is moving or scooting around so well, he is a mobile machine. He has also finally decided he likes his sippy cup. Ayden is babbling more and more each day and when he tries to crawl and plows his head into the ground, but he's trying! They have both been doing really well with eating different foods. Ayden is such a little binki baby, he loves it! If I leave his binki next to him on the high chair he has to put it into his mouth after each bite. Ayden is such a little mess when he eats as well, Gavin is much cleaner, he opens up nice and wide. A few days ago they had their first meal from Mcdonalds. My sister-in-law and I went to the outlets and she suggested I give them a fry and it was all down hill from there. I then let them try a chicken nugget and they shared almost an entire cheese burger. So much for starting good habits while their young!

Oh so cute! I love the picture of the two of them right underneath "best buds". The one on the right, I will never be able to tell them apart, looks very mischievous. They are dolls!
I cannot get over how cute your boys are. I love how interactive they are. We have a set of twins in our playgroup and they don't interact at all. And you're right, I checked my race shirt and it's the Spud Run, but the little kids was the Tator Trot (not Tot). I still run, I ran my second marathon senior year of college and Ryan and I ran the Chicago in 2004. I have a jogging stroller so Jace and I got ~3 miles most morning, good way to stay in shape!
Your boys are getting cuter and cuter and bigger and bigger. I am sure that is a lot of fun having twins but I know having my two boys as close as they are it is a lot of work so I am sure it is the same for you. Keep it up.
I LOVE all these pics! I can't get over what it must be like to have twins. How crazy and fun!
It is so fun watching your little guys grow! They are so sweet and adorable.
