Recap- April and May

I know I am way behind, but for my purpose as using this for a journal, I am still determined to catch up, so sorry for all the blasts from the pasts.

April

My 3 babies look so little and it was only a few months ago!!

The boys opening their Easter gift from their Grandma and Grandpa Smith

This was fun and something different to go out and do. It was called the Marshmallow drop where a helicopter comes to different parks and drops a ton of marshmallows and the kids redeem them for a prize. Some photographer came and snapped a shot of Ayden with his marshmallow, so maybe he is in a news paper clip some where.

Easter Morning

The boys first Easter Egg hunt. They really didn't get it, they just liked finding the eggs with the jelly beans and eating them on the spot. Ellie was the bread winner at this hunt!

We had corn beef and cabbage for our Easter dinner and surprisingly the boys really like the corn beef, although you can't really tell in their pictures, they were getting a feel for it first. Then afterwards we gave them their chocolate bunnies and gave got pretty nasty with his, he started stuffing it with his dinner and eating it!! (it was a hollow bunny)

Jordan's mom came to visit and saw Ava for the first time.

We got a Zoo membership this year, so we were trying to make use of it! Poor little Ayden wasn't feeling well, and we didn't know until after we were at the Zoo, so he stayed in the stroller most the time and watched everything, but Gavin was loving the freedom of walking, or being held the stinker.

Enjoying my ice cream cone I was craving, I guess that's how it goes with kids.
Some random pics from this month I thought were cute.

My Dad at the end of their trip after visiting Nauvoo.

Gavin playing with the toy he got from his birthday that his uncle picked out.

MAY

More Zoo fun!

The boys learning to eat corn on the cob, they really love it, other times more than others, but I think they like concept of how to eat it the most.

Ayden when we are tucking him into bed, we give him all his animals and a book and he just giggles, it's cute.

And little Gavin throughing a tantrum, he still looks cute even though the tantrums aren't
My little helper Ayden. His favorite things to do: Dishes, sweeping and wiping down EVERYTHING! One day I was in the back room rocking Ava to sleep I came out to find and entire box of Kix on the floor and Ayden with the broom saying "UH OH" over and over again. I had to laugh, at least he his learning to clean up!

The boys Great Grandparents came to visit on there way from Florida to Utah, Ayden warmed up to them really quickly.

Our sweet cats Rocky and Trixy who run away and hide when the boys are up and comeout of hiding as soon as they are asleep.

One of the boys favorite thing to do is climb all ove their Dad, I think Jordan is just growing immune to it.

My 3 babies in the tub, Ava doesn't last long with them in there.

A few pictures from Mothers Day

Jordan thought this was so funny, she just stared at the Giraffe for the longest time.

Ayden showing off his goods to the neighbors

The boys showing off there glasses

Some outside fun with the hose.

The boys sharing food off each others plates

Ava in her exersaucer...

Now Gavin in Ava's exersaucer, notice his feet

Some cute random pictures of my kids

This was so funny, Ayden wanted to hold a baby as well, and since they can't hold her at the same time I gave Ayden this little baby doll and he held her like it was real, it was really cute

The boys starting eating at the big boy table, that has now changed...
Reading stories...

This month Ava started playing with toys more.

Recent updates

Our New Ride!!

So after a lot of research and alot of trying to figure out what kind of stroller would be best for our family, we came across this one and it was perfect. All the quad or triple stollers were way to wide to get through doors and either way to long or wide to get into our car. So this is the perfect every day stroller for us that we can take anywhere and know we will be able to fit through aisles and doors of places we go as well. We have been really happy with it. We thought the boys wouldn't want to sit in the front and would like to be togher in the back, but it seems to be a compatition on who can be in the front, and for the most part if Ava is unhappy, she wins that spot because she does the best up front!

Ava's 6 month stats

HC - 17in Weight - 14lbs 11oz Height - 24.5 in
Ava is now working on sitting up and loves to bounce!! she can't get enough of it, she loves moving those little feet of hers. She has also started solids, which is no longer helping her sleep through the night because of the 2 bottom teeth she has coming. She has been giving kisses by grabbing our face and coming in with an open mouth, it's very cute. She has also learned how to grunt and makes this grunting noise all the time, very different from her girly squeels.

And the boys have been LOVING being outside this summer and are always going to the door saying "side, side" There favorite treat has been popsicles
which they call "sicles" They are trying really hard to get there words out. Another favorite word of theirs has been "movie" and they grab the box (VHS tape- yes we have one!) they want to watch and say "watch". Our neighbor gave us a ton of VHS tapes and there favorite movies have been Bear In The BIg Blue House - every time Jordan says a part from the show "do you want to Cha Cha Cha) Gave runs to the TV and says "Movie, Watch" he is slowly learning not to say that phrase unless he want s to watch that movie with them. The other one is the wiggles Ava has even got her eye on that one, she gets mesmerized. Probably not teaching my kids the best of habits, but it sure keeps them from wanting something all at the same time. Gavin has been a big "movie" lover while Ayden is still always on the go.
