4th of July!!

I know, I know, I am always behind on my blogging!! We had a great 4th of July weekend, especially with the finalization on the 3rd, it was the best way we could have ever started off our weekend!! After the finalization we packed up our car and went with Travis and Kassie and our adorable nieces to Appleton Lake to take the boys camping for the first time. You have to book your spot months in advance so we were planning on staying until Sunday morning, and you know how things happen, and we just stayed Thursday night and left Friday afternoon. We wanted to be able to light off fireworks and see the fireworks our apartment complex lights off. They are great, we don't have to travel anywhere to see a good show, they just come to us, seriously the complex does a great job. Since this is only the second time we have ever been in a state since we've been married that allows us to light off fireworks, so it's pretty exciting to us!

Camping was a lot of fun, the boys did so well, they stayed up until 10:00, which is so good for them, they are usually beat by 8:00 and don't last much longer than that. But anytime they are around their cousins they can't help but be entertained, so I know that helped. They seemed to really enjoy being outdoors. Gavin had a hard time because he pushes himself forward when he sleeps and he kept pushing himself off the blanket and mat he was sleeping on so Jordan held him while he slept, while we sat around the fire and I think he would have slept fine if our air mattress hadn't of deflated on us (he was sleeping with us) which was way uncomfortable for me so I am sure it was for him. so he did wake up a few times through the night, but did a pretty good job of going right back to sleep with a few pats on his back. Ayden did so well and slept through the night sleeping next to us on a mat and a few blankets, Ayden has always been the better sleeper though except during his naps. Next time we'll make sure our air mattress is ready for the trip! When we got back we had a little BBQ in our back yard and did the whole firework thing with our family!! It was a great weekend!

Blowing at the fire, what Jordan and Travis did best!

Our Finalization Day

It is finally here!! July 3, 2008 our adoption was finalized and any worries or concerns are officially gone! It was a very long wait and a very short court room process, but this is a very special day for us, I couldn't help but get teary eyed in the court room. These boys are so special to us and were always ment to be apart of our family, we couldn't imagine life with out them. Travis, Kassie, and our sweet nieces were able to come and be apart of it and we were so grateful to have them there. We love having them close by and we are grateful for all they do for us. Now we are able to get them sealed to us and then blessed which we are planning on doing Aug. 16th (our anniversary!) Here are some pictures on this wonderful day!

The long wait before we could go in

They missed their naps and still did so well!

9 month Updates

This is a little late, but I wanted to post the stats of the Boys 9 month appointment, even though they are almost 10 months..man, time flies!

Gavin's
Height: 29 in. 75%
Weight: 21.25 lbs 75%

Ayden's
Height: 29 in. 75% ( He finally caught up)
Weight: 21.4 lbs 75%

Both boys are crawling and lifting themselves up onto things, it really is so nice, they play so much better with each other. They are really funny to watch, they totally wrestle with each other, Ayden pulls Gavin's hair and I think Gavin is getting use to it because he just makes this funny face like it hurts, but it will take hima while of tugging before he starts crying. Then Ayden will pull his head down into a head lock and not let Gavin up, Gavin can't resist a cry on that bully technique. Ayden totally has a smile on his face while doing it, hopefully I can catch it on video sometime. Gavin is a little bully himself as well, he moves around so well and Ayden is still a little wabbly and every time Ayden is holding on to something and he hear's Gavin on his way over he cries before Gavin even gets there because he knows he his going to knock him down. Gavin is very playful and loves being apart of all the action, especially when he is around his cousins, it's a lot of fun to watch! Ayden kind of does his own thing and prefers to sit on someones lap and be loved. If you leave him alone and he doesn't see you he plays really well. The boys love crawling underneath the exer-saucers, it seems to be the place I always fine them. They both have their bottom teeth and they both are getting a top tooth. They are a lot of fun and again, growing so much every day!
